Olympia's Story

“Working in the Children, Young People and Families Team makes you feel that there is always a safe space, where different points of view can be heard.”

I was made to feel welcome

“Hi, I'm Olympia and I'm a Transition Wellbeing Practitioner at Response.

I have been working at Response for a while, when I relocated to the UK. Taking into consideration that this was my first working experience abroad, I can definitely say that everyone made me feel very welcome, which was really helpful in terms of adjusting to my new life.”

My career before Response

Before joining Response, I was working as a Psychologist for Doctors without Borders in Greece, supporting adolescents and young refugees and asylum seekers, who were presenting mental health difficulties.

Being a Transition Wellbeing Practitioner

“Response's approach to supporting individuals with mental health needs sparked my interest. I’ve always chosen to value the voice of my clients, creating support which puts them at the centre of their recovery.

Providing 1:1 sessions is the best part of working as a Transition Wellbeing Practitioner, as it gives you the opportunity to create new ideas.”
