We recognise the importance of neuro-inclusivity and understand that everyone’s brain works differently.

We celebrate neurodiversity and those who identify as neurodivergent, recognising the valuable strengths and perspectives that conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia and Tourette’s bring to both society and the workplace.

We also acknowledge the barriers and challenges that can exist, and we are committed to supporting, celebrating and advocating for a more inclusive and equitable world for neurodivergent people.

Our approach to neuro-inclusivity

It is estimated that up to 20% of the population are neurodivergent.

At Response we support children, young people, adults and their families with a range of needs and complexities. Within their support plans may be a neurodivergent condition, either diagnosed or undiagnosed, that impacts on their life.

All Response staff have training in neurodiversity and bring this knowledge to a person centred approach to supporting the people accessing our services.

At Response, we want it to be a place where colleagues can bring their best selves to work. We encourage people to feel comfortable disclosing if they are autistic, have dyslexia, Tourette’s, or other neurodivergent conditions, recognising that by being their true selves we can achieve the best outcomes for the people we support.

We offer colleagues:

  • Induction that includes neurodiversity awareness.
  • A chance to complete the Do-It Profiler to support needs linked to neurodiversity
  • A Work With Me Passport approach to starting with us.
  • Neurodiversity Champions to support with your profile and needs.

We want to reduce barriers to starting to work for Response. Before you apply, let us know how we can make the experience better for you.

  • We are happy to share interview questions before the interview
  • We can accommodate your needs for access arrangements
  • Come and spend some time with us while you decide if Response works for you.
