Rowan House is part of Response’s Headington Campus. The service is delivered in close partnership with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, providing intensive, recovery-focused support for individuals with complex mental health needs.
Rowan House offers a structured, therapeutic environment that empowers residents to regain independence and stability. Our skilled support team works closely with Oxford Health’s Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Team to deliver coordinated, person-centred care tailored to each individual’s journey.

Aim of service:
At Rowan House, we provide a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals with complex mental health needs who may otherwise have nowhere to live after being discharged from an acute ward. Our focus is on helping residents regain control over their lives, develop essential life skills, and manage their symptoms with confidence. Through structured support and recovery-focused activities, we work alongside each person to build independence and foster a sense of belonging within the community..
Staffing:
Rowan House is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring round-the-clock support for residents. Our experienced team works in partnership with Oxford Health’s FACT Team, a Multi-Disciplinary Team that brings clinical expertise into the service. Together, they deliver tailored care to meet individual needs. A dedicated activities coordinator is always on shift, providing meaningful engagement that supports recovery and skill development in a stable, supportive environment.
Capacity & Description:
Rowan House can accommodate up to 25 individuals in single bedrooms with shared bathrooms. The service features a range of communal spaces including a lounge, dining room, reading room, activity room, self-catering kitchens, computer room, and meeting rooms, all designed to promote independence and social interaction. Rowan House provides a structured yet homely setting where residents can develop the skills they need to move toward greater autonomy and stability.
