Children & Young People

Supporting young people

The rise in the number of young people and children suffering from mental health issues is rising at unprecedented levels. In 2018 a survey by NHS Digital reported that over one in ten (12.5%) of young people in England described themselves as living with a mental health condition and these numbers are growing.

At Response, our dedicated teams are proud to be innovating, leading and managing projects that deliver better support to young people and children who are facing mental health issues. We’re passionate about enabling young people access to the right service, at the right time and in the right place. With that in mind, we’re focused on working:

In schools

Working with Oxfordshire Health NHS Trust, Response will have specially trained workers in every school in Oxford City, delivering interventions, advice and sign-posting to young people their families, carers and school personnel.

With Care Leavers

The House Project is an innovative joint enterprise with Oxfordshire County Council to provide accommodation and support to 10 young care leavers in Oxfordshire. Response will provide the accommodation and the Intensive Housing Management required and play a significant role in both the referral and selection process of the Young People.
